Interface Tourism Spain received a call from the Minister of Tourism of Ecuador to take advantage of the match between Switzerland and Ecuador during the Davis Cup in 2013 and to promote the destination to the Swiss market.
Interface was contracted to undertake promotional activity in the área around the match between Switzerland and Ecuador.
- Advertising was placed in two places at the tops of the court and two at the sides as well as another outside the court area.
- The messaging ‘Ecuador love life’ was used in the two rest areas for the tennis players, in the media area for TV interviews, in the official programme and website.
- Delivery and distribution of promotional material on the destination at their own event during the three days of the tournament aimed at key consumers.
Interface created destination branding targeted at the consumer and Swiss traveller and obtained over 8 hours of live television coverage.
